We Keep Health Records For Your Vehicle - Just Like Your Doctor Keeps For You

Life is busy, we all know that. To make your life a little easier, we keep a thorough record of the work we have done on your car, and recommended future work to be done, so that you don't have to remember.

This is how it goes:

You bring your vehicle in to us for a Warrant of Fitness (WOF), service, wheel alignment, tyre fitting. We complete the work you have asked for us to do and update the maintenance records for your vehicle in our computer system. We note any recommended future repairs and maintenance that may be required or need to be monitored, we also record when the Warrant of Fitness (WOF) and registration are due. We will remind you when your WOF is due and let NZTA remind you about your registration.

On our invoices we write in layman's terms what has been done, breaking the invoice down into Parts and Technicians fee, so you can easily see the costs involved. We advise of work that we believe is important to the safety/health of your car and what kind of time frame we recommend it is done in.

We send reminders out, usually by email or in the post, for miscellaneous but important recommended maintenance like Tyres or Brake repairs etc. For WOF's we also send a text out around one week before it's due as a fail safe.

All these records against your vehicle/s are important for a number of reasons:

  1. We take the worry out of remembering what is next required for your vehicle, by remembering for you.
  2. It is important to the safety and well being of your family that you travel in a safe and well maintained vehicle
  3. We help to ensure that any legal requirements for your vehicle are met in a timely manner, to save any fines or queries.
  4. Our goal is to develop a lasting relationship with you, our customer, and become a trusted advisor for all your vehicle needs

Of course, in the end it is up to you to decide to make a booking, we can't do that for you. We do however try to make it as easy as possible with our website booking system, our 0800 number (0800 456 835) or by email carcare@ashn.nz. We also have four loan cars to minimise any inconvenience to you.

It is important to us to take care of your vehicle – that is our business, and it makes us feel good to see you driving a well maintained car that is unlikely to break down. That is why we spend a lot of behind the scenes time keeping your vehicles notes up to date.
